Yep wasting money sucks!
But wasting time searching for unicorns like free approved training sucks more. 🙂
On the other hand, making $25+/hr with your RSA certificate and a bunch of shifts while meeting loads awesome people in the process rocks.
Your search ends right here – right now!
My goal on this website is to find reasonably inexpensive courses that offer awesome training because at the end of the day, time is money and even the most expensive courses in QLD will only cost you three shifts work. More time than it takes to do it.
The good news is you can have your cake and eat it too.
So who is the cheapest and the best?
Our research showed that prices range from $10 to $85.
Free courses might be provided by your employer but even then, someone has to pay for them!
We found the sweet spot was this course which is online and while not being the absolute cheapest was not far off (at $44 if you include the discount you get when you click the link) but it offers excellent training.
Why not just do a free or cheap RSA?
I get it – you just want an RSA certificate and to pay as little as possible.
I discuss why doing the cheapest RSA is a bad idea after running into some very bad RSA courses in QLD – one that you could apparently finish in 1 hour got audited and banned.
So whilst the Queensland authorities are cracking doing down on the truly terrible ones, great ones are recommended just like good coaches compared to average ones.
Basically
- The training technology used can make for a much better experience and learning outcome.
The short and curlies
- When you are doing your RSA you have 3 goes at each question. It is possible you might get locked out and require the assistance of a live person – also known as trainers. All courses are designed this way to help you learn. The truth is, your ability to get someone who is helpful -quickly is a huge part of great RSA training.
Unfortunately – you kind of get what you pay for (although you can pay too much).
But that not all
- It is easy waste a lot of time struggling through a course that does not use the latest in online training like interactive video and audio.
Most importantly
- I have found good training to be really helpful in my job for years to come. I know that sounds corny, but seriously when some 6″ 5′ angry drunk dude asks you for another beer – I am always pretty glad I know what to say.

I am on a mission to help people find great training for their RSA certificate. To do this I have completed several courses for almost every state, including this QLD course which I recommend.
Once signed up to a course you might find my tips to passing helpful.
