Plus How it Works and (do not miss) Tips to Pass Easier!
First, let’s make sure you do the right RSA course!
- You only want to work in one state (skips to info below)
- You want to work in multiple states (skips to info below)
Single State Training
Each state has its own requirements. In other words, if you plan to work in a certain state all you need to do is ensure that the training you do covers that state.
Pretty easy right?

Multiple States Training
If you want to get training that is valid for you to work in multiple states – no problem – unless one of those states is Victoria.
Includes QLD, WA, SA, NT, TAS and ACT
Many multiple state training or all state RSA courses include QLD, WA, SA, NT and sometimes TAS and ACT. The first four states share a lot of similarities and some course providers also cover you for TAS and ACT. To make sure you are covered for all these states the course number is SITHFAB002 – If you would like to do a course that covers you for all 6 States – This course is all inclusive.
NSW as well as QLD, WA, SA, NT, TAS and ACT
This is the closest you will come to Australia wide RSA training. NSW RSA training is independent of other states. However this online course makes it easy for you to complete your NSW RSA while earning a “National Certificate of Attainment” for the other states (for no additional cost). This saves you a lot of money and time and is perfect for those who want to work in as many places as possible with one course.
VIC
Victorian RSA Training is done in a classroom so it is independent of any other state. Victoria does not allow online training (except for its refresher courses)). To be able to work in multiple states, complete classroom RSA training in Victoria and then choose the other online training for Single or Multiple States – as above.
